About Me

Marcia Miller, Psychologist

For over two decades, I have dedicated my career to advocating for students with disabilities—some of the most vulnerable and resilient individuals in our communities. I bring a wide range of experience to my work: I have been a school psychologist for 21 years, a licensed educational psychologist for 17 years, a special education administrator for more than a decade, and a graduate school instructor for 12 years, helping to train the next generation of school psychologists.

As both a credentialed school psychologist and a licensed educational psychologist, I am uniquely positioned to offer assessment services that address the full scope of student needs. My evaluations include eligibility determinations based on the California Education Code, as well as clinical diagnoses grounded in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). This dual expertise allows me to provide thorough, legally defensible assessments, which can be a critical asset in navigating special education due process proceedings or civil rights complaints.

This work is deeply personal to me. Throughout my career, I have witnessed how the right support, at the right time, can transform a student’s life—not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. I believe every student deserves to be seen, heard, and given the opportunity to thrive. It is a privilege to stand alongside students and families as they advocate for the services and recognition they deserve.
